Like you guys, I’ve wanted to juice for sometime now. It’s not until the documentary about Joe Cross, who’s got one foot in the grave, morbidly obese and has a rare condition that will most likely kill him, that got me off my couch.

Now, to juice, you need a juicer. But there are so many different kinds, and it can get a little confusing, right?

So, I made a list. This is what I want from my juicer:

1.) It has to be top quality

2.) It has to be easy to use

3.) It can’t cost too much money.

I watched a friend of mine, Jessica, using her masticating juicer, and it’s like watching grass grow. It’s so painfully slow. You have to feed the juicer tiny pieces of fruits and vegetables, one at a time. It’s like feeding a tiny hamster. No thanks.

Can the Breville BJE510XL juice wheat grass?

The Breville BJE510XL can do a lot of things, but wheat grass isn’t one of them. Wheat grass can only be juice by masticating juicers.

But it’s not as big of a deal as you think. You can still get the phytonutrients from vegetables like chard, kale, collard greens, to name a few. These greens are much more common, and much easier to find than wheat grass.

What about complaints?

I wanted to make sure the complaints are real.

There are a lot of people out there who doesn’t read the manual, and blame the juicer. The most common complaint is the noise level. This is not just the Breville BJE510XL, all centrifugal style juicers make a lot of noise.

Quite a few customers actually pointed out that the Breville BJE510XL is much quieter than many other juicers they’ve owned in the past.

A few users complained about the amount of juice from leafy green vegetables.
